POSITION: (2) Manager Geotechnical (Greater Toronto Area & Kingston Offices)

Duties:

The successful candidate will manage, promote and develop the Geotechnical Services division.

Applicant will have knowledge and experience with managing all types of geotechnical projects including: soil-structure interaction problems such as buildings and bridge foundations and soil retaining structures; erosion control; frost heave; embankment fill or cut slopes; geotechnical problem mitigation projects, installation of slope indicators, piezometers and other geotechnical instrumentation, including monitoring of instruments, laboratory testing and report writing.

Qualifications

The candidate must be a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario minimum of 10 years of Canadian experience in geotechnical engineering. Candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a strong team environment is a necessity. Candidate should have a proven ability to lead a professional staff, and a track record of business development.  Candidates approved with a MTO RAQS Foundation Engineering designation of Geotechnical (Structures and Embankments) - Medium Complexity would be highly considered.

POSITION: Environmental Engineer

The successful candidate will have 3-5 years experience in environmental consulting. The ideal candidate will have experience with Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments and Remediation. The responsibilities of this position will include field work, project management and report writing.

A diploma or degree in an environmental or related field is necessary, and eligibility for professional designation would be an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform secretarial, reception, and data entry functions. Ideal candidate should possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills and should be proficient in Windows, and Microsoft Office software.
