Mark McClelland manages the Kingston Office and is responsible for overseeing laboratory testing programs and supervising DBA’s group of field technicians performing field and laboratory testing services. He is also responsible for ensuring that proper testing procedures are adhered to and reviews and signs each testing report delivered to the Client. Mr. McClelland provides Client liaison, technical troubleshooting and conducts DBA’s structural steel and roofing inspections. He is certified by CSA for concrete field testing and by CCIL for aggregate and asphalt testing.
Mark was raised and educated in the Kingston area and is a graduate of St. Lawrence College (Civil Engineering Technology). He has been employed in the materials inspection and testing business for over 17 years. Throughout most of his career he has held a supervisory position directing a group of field and laboratory technicians performing various inspection and material testing services to clients ranging from owners, consultants, architects and contractors. Mr. McClelland has extensive experience conducting various field and laboratory tests on construction materials including concrete, asphalt, soils and aggregates and has been a Certified Engineering Technologist since 1998. He is knowledgeable in the various testing methods and procedures required under certifications issued by the Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories (CCIL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and the Ministry of Transportation (MTO).
