Vince Aurilio

Vince Aurilio graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering in 1982. Since graduation he has worked in both the private and public sectors primarily in materials engineering. This included working for several consultants as well as the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.
He is currently the Manager of Pavement Engineering Services with DBA, and is responsible for the design and rehabilitation of asphalt and Portland cement concrete pavements. He continues to be active in various associations and in providing technical support to the road building community.
Vince has been actively involved in the implementation of Superpave and the development of new HMA technologies, such as SMA and Perpetual Pavements in Ontario. He is a strong advocate of pavement preservation and the use of proper life cycle costing. Mr. Aurilio has also been involved in the certification of laboratories and technicians in Ontario and across Canada. He has authored in the order of 20 technical papers and has made presentations at various key industry functions.
He is a current member of CTAA, AAPT and sits on the TRB Committee on Quality Management in Construction. In addition, Vince has served as a member on several NCHRP research panels.
